When you use SongVow, we collect information you provide directly to us, including: your name, email address, the recipient's name, personal stories and details you share for song creation, photos you upload, and payment information processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. If you choose to record a voice message, we collect and store the audio recording you make. If a song recipient chooses to record a reaction on a gift page, we collect and store that video recording. Both are optional, and neither is required to order or receive a song. If you ask us to remind you about a future occasion, we store the name and date you enter along with your email address.
We use the information you provide to: create your personalized song and lyrics, generate your gift page, send order confirmations and delivery emails, process payments, and improve our services. The personal stories and details you share are used solely for crafting your song and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
SongVow uses artificial intelligence services including Anthropic (Claude) for lyrics and ElevenLabs for music generation. The personal details you provide are sent to these services solely for the purpose of creating your song. These services process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not use your song data to train AI models.
Your order data, songs, and uploaded photos are stored securely using Supabase (cloud database and storage). Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only with: service providers who assist in operating our platform (Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, Supabase for data storage, Anthropic and ElevenLabs for content generation, Google for analytics and advertising measurement as described in section 7), or when required by law or to protect our rights.
Gift pages are accessible via a unique link. Anyone with the link can view the gift page, listen to the song, and see the recipient name, occasion, gift message, and any uploaded photo. By creating a song, you acknowledge that the gift page content will be publicly accessible to anyone who has the link.
Voice messages and reaction recordings are stored in our media storage and are served from unlisted web addresses. These addresses are not indexed by search engines and are not listed anywhere publicly, but anyone who has the address can open the file, so treat them as shareable rather than private. We do not use recordings to train AI models, and we do not analyse them for any purpose other than playing them back on your gift page. You can ask us to delete a recording at any time.
On the Ultimate plan, a photo you upload is sent to a third-party AI video service to generate a short animated clip. The photo and resulting video are stored with your order. Do not upload photos of people who have not agreed to appear in them.
If you opt in, we email you before a date you told us about. These are promotional emails. Every one includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all reminder emails to your address. Reminders are optional and separate from the emails we send about your order.
We use essential cookies, Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion tracking, which uses cookies to tell us which adverts led to an order. When you order, we send Google the amount paid and your order number, plus your email address converted into an irreversible code so the sale can be matched to an advert click. We never send Google your name, your story, your photos or your song. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s ad settings.
You have the right to: request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your personal data, and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@songvow.com.
We retain your order data, songs, gift pages, voice messages, reaction recordings, photos and animated videos indefinitely so that recipients can continue to access their songs. Occasion reminder details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us and we will remove it within 30 days, which will also make the associated gift page unavailable.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of SongVow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
